How to Change Your Domain to Point at your Hosting Account

Posted on 29 January 2008 by Don

Here’s a short video I did on point your domain name to a new hosting account. A lot of times. Your web hosting account and domain registrar are two separate companies.

Here’s the scenario, you get a new domain name for a cheap domain name registrar like Tektanium hosting (my company). You want to point your new domain name at your web hosting account at Kiosk hosting. After you purchase your domain name you need to go to your Domain Registration control panel and re-point the domain name Servers (DNS Servers) to your hosting Account. This short video shows you how to make that change.
