Finding your Stuff…. Fast
Posted on 11 June 2007 by Don Shults
One of the best features of Outlook 2007 for me was the new “Instant Search” capability. I have 100’s of folders and thousands of messages being managed by my Outlook client. In the past I could search a folder or group of folders, but it could take more than a minute the old Outlook search engine to crunch through message and document to find what I needed. Instant Search leverages a desktop version of Microsoft Search to index your important message, documents, blog posts and visited Web pages. And it’s fast, since most of the work is done when your system is idle. Find your Stuff fast with this new feature of Outlook 2007! And Oh By the Way, this new Desktop search is built in to Microsoft Windows Vista and can search a lot more than just your Outlook connected world… But more on that to come. Here’s a link with more information about the search capability in Microsoft Outlook 2007.
